A small number of our Bowl From A Board Easy Cut System Type 2 customers with 12” lathes have experienced difficulty cutting the first few rings. This is due to a relatively short banjo with limited reach, typical of 12” lathes.

Some folks just want to make large bowls 12-16” and larger. The Extended Reach Base is great for that.
