The GAGE'T was designed by professional woodturner Keith Tompkins. It is designed to measure the wall thickness of bowls up to 20" in diameter, or to the center of bowls up to 17". The GAGE'T can also be used for measuring the thickness of plates and platters. Molded from glass filled nylon, it is virtually indestructible. The spring-loaded measuring pin rides along the exterior of the bowl, giving a direct reading of the wall thickness in 1/16” increments. |

- Designed to measure the wall thickness of bowls up to 20" in diameter, the Tompkins™ Gage'T Thickness Gauge is also ideal for checking platters too. The Gage'T frame is made from durable glass-filled nylon and features a spring-loaded measuring rod with etched thickness scale (1/16" increments) and non-marring brass contact points. The distance between the exterior brass ball and caliper indicates the thickness.
- Gage'T has a 9" reach and can measure up to 1-5/16" thick.
