Summary — Laser Cut Inlay Kits
The short version
Fancy Christmas Ornament Laser Cut Kits and Feature Ring Elements are very similar, so the instructions are virtually the same.
We provide a panel (frame) that holds various wooden and/or acrylic parts depending on the pattern you choose, and are ready for assembly.
- Feature Ring Elements are 1.75″ × 1.75″ square by 3/8″ thick.
- Element panels are designed to be glued to a backer piece.
- Each element and backer piece will need to be mitered or fit for a wedge prior to the ring glue-up.
- Feature Ring Elements are available in 8 to 24 panels.
- Christmas Ornament Kits are 1.75″ wide, 2.75″ high, by 3/8″ thick.
- 4 panels are designed to be glued to a 1.75″ square core, 4–5″ long.
We provide digital representations of what each pattern should look like when used in a project. Some images are from actual items we made previously — mostly Christmas Ornaments — the rest should be very close when finished.
To begin with, we must limit wood selections to the choices we think will produce stunning results. We expect most panels to be curly maple. The other elements will be mostly cherry, walnut, zebrawood, purpleheart, yellow heart, mahogany or wenge. Where appropriate, we also use colored acrylic — red, white, and green — mainly in the Christmas Ornaments.
We will introduce the spinning tops at a later date. This launch will be Feature Ring Elements and Fancy Christmas Ornaments. You can easily turn pendants from any of these kits.
