For Use With Bowl From A Board Easy Cut System Type 2

Mr. Jim Frantz, who owns one of our Bowl From A Board Easy Cut System Type 2, recently sent me a photo of a low-angle MultiGuide he made with four lower angles: 25, 30, 35, and 40 degrees. Jim wanted to make taller bowls from his glued-up boards and needed to get more rings. The bowl on the left below was made with our standard MultiGuide, and the one on the right was made using both his type 2 for the first few rings and type 1 for the rest. This yielded a vessel twice the usual height.

Jim has graciously allowed me to offer a Low Angle Type 2 MultiGuide to anyone wishing to expand their capabilities.

Pros:

More rings mean taller vessels

Cons:

Thinner rings mean more precision required and thinner walls in the finished product. If you are not careful with your cuts and the glue-up process, you will end up with paper-thin walls.
