NO.

We have had that situation with several clients. You can purchase one system with a 1" post and get an optional second 5/8" post to fit your other lathe. The 2nd post is an option, and there is an extra charge. We take material for a 1" post and turn it down to a 5/8" diameter. It still has the standard 1" threads, so it fits the original opening in your base using the same nuts. Just swap the post for the lathe you want to use.
