The “P” type parting tool you received with your Bowl From A Board Easy Cut System
Type 2 is designed to fully cut through material ¾” thick at all four degree settings from
45 through 60 degrees.

A check mark indicates the “P” type parting tool will cut completely through at the
indicated angle.

Example #1, blank is 1” thick.

1. You can stop at 55” since it will cut completely through

2. Cut as deep as possible using the 60 degree slot

   1. Remove the ECS assembly

   2. Replace with a regular tool post

   3. Finish the cut using your “P” type parting tool. The kerf will act as your
      guide.

Example #2, blank is 1.25” thick

1. Use only the first two angles, 45 deg, 50, deg

2. Cut as deep as possible using the 55 degree slot

   1. Remove the ECS assembly

   2. Replace with a regular tool post

   3. Finish the cut using your “P” type parting tool. The kerf will act as your
      guide.

3. Cut as deep as possible using the 60 degree slot

   1. Remove the ECS assembly

   2. Replace with a regular tool post

   3. Finish the cut using your “P” type parting tool. The kerf will act as your guide.
